Pirate Code: Our Values and Principles
In the so-called Golden Age of Piracy (late 17th to early 18th century), many ships sailed under Articles of Agreement, codes of conduct that defined how the crew lived, worked, and shared. These agreements fostered fairness and shared purpose in a world without fixed laws. Today, as our own world again feels increasingly lawless and out of balance, this spirit of mutual agreement is more relevant than ever.
The Pirate Code of Piratas do Amor carries that spirit forward. We see sailing ships as training centers for a new culture, rooted in love, regeneration, and deep connection to nature. At sea, we learn the values, skills, and bonds to become the pirates of the new era: bold, collaborative, and committed to caring for each other and the Earth.
Our code is our compass, guiding us at sea and on land. It shapes how we connect, explore, and create, and stands as both a promise to each other and an invitation to all who wish to work alongside us.

To sail is to remember. We are not separate from the wind, the sea, or the stars. Nature is our guide. Impermanence is our teacher. We are all one. The illusion of separation dissolves when we live in rhythm with the Earth.
We Are at Service
Everyone is crew. We learn by doing. On board, everyone contributes. Everyone plays a part. We hoist sails, cook meals, clean toilets, and share stories. Participation is the path to transformation.

We celebrate radical self-expression. Art is the language of the soul. We invite playfulness to hold the paradoxes of life. Everyone is encouraged to show up fully and authentically.
We Leave a Better Trace
We are a lab for regeneration. We seek ethical provisioning, low-tech solutions, and lighter ways of moving through the world. In every port we visit, we aim to uplift ecosystems and local communities.
