The sea is our teacher. The vessels are our classrooms.
For eight years, we have lived, worked and created aboard vessels of many kinds, from expedition ships in the Arctic to open canoes on the coast of Brazil.
Along the way, we discovered that a vessel can be much more than a way of getting somewhere. It can become a place of learning, belonging and transformation.
Today, Piratas do Amor creates its own voyages, collaborate with vessels and crews we love, and support owners in developing the next chapter of their vessel.

Join us for a one-week expedition into another rhythm of life.
Aboard Pira Veve and Teko Porã, two canoes built to sail, paddle and surf, we journey along Bahia’s wild coastline, following the wind and remembering ways of living the modern world has almost forgotten.
We sleep in hammocks, fish and forage, cook over fire and rinse off with coconut water.
Out here, luxury means something different: presence, simplicity and aliveness.

We collaborate with owners and crews to create expeditions, Rites of Passage, artist residencies, cultural programmes and other experiences shaped by the vessel, the people and the waters we travel through.
Tilvera Expeditions, Worldwide
Our friendship with Tilvera began in The Netherlands and grew through voyages across Norway, Svalbard, Iceland and Greenland.
Today, we continue that collaboration by curating a Rite of Passage across the Atlantic.
